Why TheKnot.com???
I love TheKnot. Despite all the silly rumors that we’re hearing, it is by far the one of the most comprehensive planning tools for today’s brides. The content is fresh and relevant. Besides, they always showcase weddings that have 1 thing in common: they are ALL beautiful!
Not every bride and groom is planning on a platinum level and TheKnot shows good taste is good taste and style is style. Plus they give great tips.
This month they listed their top 8 tips to picking the right wedding photographer. Now all 8 tips are good, but I don’t want to lose your attention… so I just picked my Top 5. Plus “Top 5” sounds better than “Top 8”. (sorry Knot!)

I am NOT a fan of chat forums that are loaded with non-expert points of view. If I were planning something that takes place only once in a lifetime, I would want help from an expert . You wouldn’t want to hear my “non -expert” rantings on auto repair, now would you???
‘Bump It’
Nothing is as great a conversation starter these days as “Jersey Shore”. I love to drop these 2 magic little words randomly in at cocktail parties and see where the evening goes…
This show has a very polarizing effect on people.
There are many things that one can take exception with, BUT- there is an excellent wedding planning lesson to be learned from this show. (Maybe 2 if you count don’t over tan). The BIG LESSON: embrace a personal style. The girls of “Jersey Shore” not only embrace their styles, they own them and are setting trends.
Snookie is single-handedly bringing back the “bump-it” hairstyle. This over the top, over done, crazy coif some how works for this girl. It has become her signature look.
When planning a great wedding, that is what you want: an element of style from beginning to end that will give your wedding its signature look. It’s a simple yet illusive concept. Far too many brides never find their “bump it”.
I wish her well on season 2 and I want to give my girl Snookie a big L.I to Jersey shout out for her valuable wedding planning tip.

SPOTLIGHT ON…Ted
So one of our “February Resolutions” is to make sure we update the blog, the Facebook page, and to Tweet on a regular basis.
